Shahid Kapoor was the biggest disappointment at a recently held awards function in Mumbai. No, not because he failed to secure any awards for his performances, but because he failed to perform at all! According to reports in the media, Shahid Kapoor botched the lines that he was supposed to speak out as the host of the event that will be broadcast on television. But there was apparently no problem because the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan took care to cover up the faults of his co host Shahid Kapoor.
If reports are to be believed, Shahid Kapoor was not present at the rehearsals of the awards event in which Shah Rukh Khan made it a point to come and therefore could not deliver his lines at the required time.
It was SRK who applied his trademark spontaneity and wit for 45 minutes out of the 1 hour that was allotted to the Shah Rukh Khan – Shahid Kapoor duo. But the Bollywood Badshah did not mind at all, rather he was more than supportive because Shahid Kapoor could not make it to the rehearsals as he failed to avail a flight from fog laden Chandigarh.
Shah Rukh Khan also encouraged Shahid Kapoor to concentrate more on his solo act rather than worrying about their duet.
Whether Shahid Kapoor's ignorance was very prominent may be deciphered when the awards event will be broadcast on television.
