Semi-curfew to be imposed in Karachi


Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday announced that semi-curfew will be imposed from today in trouble areas of Karachi.
Talking to media at Karachi Airport, Rehman Malik said that the decision of imposition of curfew has been taken in the high level meeting which was held in Karachi.
Rehman said that partial curfew will be imposed in tense areas of Karachi. He further said that air surveillance would also be maintained.
He said that the police had arrested some
criminals on the spot. Rehman further said the terrorism is a national problem.
“It is responsibility of the federal and provincial governments to protect the people,” Malik said, justifying the decision to impose the partial curfew, without disclosing which areas would be affected.
Federal Interior Minister said that a ‘third force’ is involved in the ongoing target killings in Karachi, which would be exposed soon.
