Salman Taseer killed in Islamabad

The governor was fired upon and wounded.

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Governor Salman Taseer was attacked in a firing incident in Islamabad’s Kohsar market on Tuesday.

According to initial unconfirmed reports, unidentified persons fired upon the governor’s convoy and wounded him.

He was shifted to Polyclinic for treatment.
