Ragini MMS: Ekta Kapoor playing by numbers!

Ragini MMS: Ekta Kapoor playing by numbers!Ekta Kapoor gets film's title 'Raginni' numerologically changed

Ekta Kapoor is at it again. She has changed the name of her latest flick. The horror offering, earlier titled Raginni, will now be called Ragini MMS.

Apparently, she did it because of bizarre incidents during the film's shoot and because of accidents that happened on the sets with alarming frequency.

A Balaji (her production house) source reveals, "The title has been changed as per the instructions of numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani.

Ekta also found out that a guy had died in the bungalow at Dahanu where they were shooting the film. Jumaani told her that she should change the title numerologically and that things would settle down. She did that and the film got completed. The accidents on the sets troubled her the most."

The film's director Pavan Kripalani, says,
"It was definitely an unsettling and surreal experience.

I don't know if the bungalow was haunted but what was interesting is that the caretaker had died in his room and his clothes and personal belongings were still lying there when we started shooting and we had to shift them.

Maybe it was good that we got a lot of really spooky experiences because of that but it's a bad move to mess with things that belong to dead people."

The director adds that freak accidents used to happen on the sets a lot while shooting. "One of the boys got burnt once while making food for us while the male lead, Raj Kumar Yadav, got hurt while shooting.

He got hurt just before he shot for the scene where he's actually supposed to get hurt. Everyone was on the edge as we were genuinely scared."

In fact, Ekta was so spooked by the fact that someone had died in the house they shot in, that she never showed up on the sets for the 19-day schedule.

"Daily calls from the unit were disturbing for her. After the numerological change, things settled down and the shoot was completed."

He further reveals, "I wanted to shoot on a real location rather than create a set. I think we got more than we bargained for! It feels good to be back in the city."
