Justice Javed Iqbal's parents' murder: Iqbal's brother in police custody

LAHORE: Police on Tuesday took into custody the youngest brother of Supreme Court judge Justice Javed Iqbal in connection with the murder of their parents

Express 24/7 correspondent Shiraz Hasnat reports that Naveed Iqbal had been taken into custody after police had picked up some clues after going through his cell phone records. Initial reports state that Naveed has confessed to murdering his father and stepmother, however there is no official confirmation yet.
The parents of Justice Javed Iqbal were killed on January 11 under mysterious circumstances in a well-guarded area of Lahore.
The murder came to light when a relative of Abdul Hameed, who came to see the couple, found them dead in the TV lounge of their house. They were strangled to death using pillows.
