Atif Aslam donates to flood relief

International pop star and Pakistani singer Atif Aslam will begin his first Australasian tour at Auckland’s Logan Campbell Centre on January 21.
Atif will donate ticket profits from the concert to support Oxfam’s work with survivors of last year’s devastating floods in the country, which have affected over 20 million people.
He travelled to the affected areas and helped hand out food, supplies and aid to the victims.
Atif was so moved by the sights that he released a song encouraging fans to support survivors in
any way possible.
“We are fortunate to have such an icon to visit us in New Zealand for this show. Atif Aslam is the biggest pop rock icon of the Asian subcontinent”, said Omar Liaquat Event Director.
Oxfam is helping over 1.8 million people throughout Pakistan. The response includes evacuating people from devastated homes, distributing hot food and shelter kits, providing families with clean water and building emergency toilets to help prevent the spread of disease.
