Ashura procession participants in Karachi to get passes



The vehicle owners intending to participate in the Muharram processions during 8th, 9th and 10th Muharramul Harram have been advised to get the passes and stickers from the office of the DIGP Traffic and Capital City Police Karachi.
According to an announcement made here on Friday by Government of Sindh, the desirous people have been asked to submit their applications with attested copies of registration book of the vehicle, driving licence, NIC, and reference of the concerned organisation with verified copies.
In addition, these passes could be acquired on presentation of papers from the offices of Incharge Traffic Security Branch, DIG Traffic, Garden Headquarters.
The stickers will only be issued to
law enforcement agencies, ambulances, town administrations, association of scouts, and other volunteer participants of the mourners with the approval of the committee during Dec 14 to 16 December.
Moreover, the concerned organisations have been advised to submit two photographs of the applicant drivers and attested NICs as well, otherwise, they would not be issued the passes.
The stickers should be pasted on the windscreen of the vehicles, otherwise, they would not be allowed entry to any procession, the announcement added.
