Thanks to Sallu, a new Kapoor boy on the B-Town blockBoney's son Arjun to make his acting debut in a Yash Raj film. The announcement will be made in January Yet another Kapoor steps into B-Town.

Arjun Kapoor finally makes his debut in a Yash Raj Films (YRF) project. Son of Boney and Mona Kapoor, the youngster had been waiting in the wings for long.

Buzz was that his dad would launch him, but now things have worked out with the YRF banner. It is also learnt that he has signed a three-film contract deal with the Yash Raj folks.

Anil and Sanjay Kapoor's nephew will feature in a project to be launched early in the New Year.

Though things are tightly under wraps as YRF wants to make a formal announcement later, Rafiq Gangjee, VP, marketing and communications, YRF admits, "Yes, Arjun Kapoor has been signed for a film with YRF.

We will be making an announcement of our forthcoming films in January when we will provide further details."

Says Arjun's mom, Mona, "I cannot say anything on this front now. Yash Raj Films will make a formal announcement." Mona owns Future Studios, a shooting studio in Goregaon.

Arjun has a sister Anshula who is studying in the US.

The Sallu link

Arjun Kapoor is extremely close to Salman Khan who provided him fitness tips and his personal gym facilities to lose weight as part of his grooming for Bollywood. Arjun also dated Sallu's sister Arpita Khan. Though they have split, he still shares cordial relations with the Khandaan.

Nephew and uncle Rishi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor featured together in Yash Chopra's Kabhi Kabhie (1976) which was a romantic saga about two generations as well as in Doosra Aadmi (1977) which took on the subject of fate and love. Both the films also had Neetu Singh.
Randhir acted with uncle Shashi in Sawaal (1982) a money versus power saga.
