Miffed Sonam Kapoor slams critics

If you thought Sonam Kapoor was happy being just another pretty face in Bollywood, think again. The Aisha girl doesn't take criticism too kindly, even when it comes from her own fraternity.

The actress has gone into attack mode after her I Hate Luv Storys co-star Imran Khan reportedly said that she should "do more movies, less magazine covers" on the TV show Koffee With Karan. According to Sonam, she has never gone overboard with fashion shoots, doing as many, or as few covers as other actresses. However her pictures seem to have a bigger impact, she claimed.

Sonam didn't mince words when it came to expressing her displeasure over Imran's remarks. "Imran is really sweet and I like him, but I can't take someone so wet behind the ears seriously. He still has a lot to do before he makes statements like that," she was quoted as saying in a recent interview.

Imran is not the only co-star who has taken a dig at Sonam. Abhay Deol, who acted opposite her in Aisha, also went public with his feeling that too much time and effort was wasted in styling the wardrobe for the film. "I won't take chances with films like Aisha anymore," he said.

But Sonam refuses to concede ground to her detractors. If stalwarts like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra consider her good enough to be in their films, then there is no cause for anyone to doubt her credentials as an actress, she says.

Her list of current projects is certainly impressive. While she is shooting for Pankaj Kapur's Mausam with Shahid Kapoor, she will also be seen in Anees Bazmee's Thank You with Akshay Kumar and Abbas-Mustan's Players starring Abhishek Bachchan.
