Martin Sheen to make 'intervention' in son Charlie's life

He may be 45 years old but Charlie Sheen's wild ways have forced his father, Hollywood star Martin Sheen, to consider an intervention in his erring son's life.

Martin is considering an intervention to get the actor back in rehab to seek treatment for his drug and alcohol addictions, reported New York Post.

Police was called to the Three And a Half Men star's suite at New York's Plaza Hotel last week after the actor wrecked the room under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

The 70-year-old actor is worried that his son is being led astray by hangers on.

"He wants to separate him from that environment, from the people that he's around and put him in rehab," a family source said.

Martin, himself a former alcoholic, first staged a major intervention back in 1990 in an attempt to reign in his son's drinking and drug-taking.
