Sialkot lynching: 3 accused still at large

SIALKOT: Twenty-five of the main accused in the Sialkot lynching case have been arrested while three others, including two policemen, still remain at large, according to reports received by Express 24/7.
Former SHO Rana Ilyas, one of the main accused in the Sialkot lynching case as well as constable Mushtaq have not been presented in court as yet, following their arrest on Friday.
Sources said 25 of the main accused have been arrested, while three others, including three policemen, are still at large.
The joint investigating team constituted by Chief Minister Punjab has reached Sialkot and started its investigations.
The team has so far recorded statements from a number of people and is also monitoring previous investigation reports.
Earlier the Anti-Terrorism Court granted a one week physical remand to the 17 main accused, while former DPO Waqar Chohan and six other policemen are on a one week judicial remand.
Reports say police may present former SHO Rana Ilyas and constable Mushtaq in court on September 6.
