Pakistan slump to massive defeat

England won the fourth and final Test against Pakistan by an innings and 225 runs at Lord’s here on Sunday and so took the series 3-1.
But Pakistan’s
heaviest Test defeat – surpassing their innings and 198 runs loss to Australia in Sharjah in 2002 – was overshadowed by allegations they had been involved in a betting scam.
Brief scores:
England 1st Innings: 446 (J Trott 184, S Broad 169; Mohammad Aamer 6-84)
Pakistan 1st Innings: 74 (G Swann 4-12, S Finn 3-38)
Pakistan 2nd Innings: 147 (Umar Akmal 79 no; G Swann 5-62)
Result: England won by an innings and 225 runs Reuters
