Advocate throws shoe at judge

The humiliating gesture of hurling a shoe at a judge by a young advocate during the hearing of a case here sent all the judges on
strike on Friday.
According to advocate Asghar Ali Gujjar, Additional Sessions Judge Malik Mobeen Ahmed was hearing a case of Abdur Rauf advocate when the incident took place. The judge refused pre-arrest bail to the accused.
On this, Ahmed Raza advocate, son of Abdur Rauf advocate, got infuriated in the court and after foul mouthing hurled a shoe at the judge.
After this incident the judges in the district went on strike and were being joined by a number of lawyers who wanted to register their indignation over the abusive gesture.
